The Delhi High Court has granted interim bail to actor Rajpal Yadav in connection with a cheque-bounce case, offering him temporary relief while imposing strict conditions. The court directed the actor to submit a ₹1.5 crore demand draft by 3 PM on the same day, making it a mandatory requirement for the bail to remain valid.
During the hearing, the court stressed that timely submission of the demand draft was crucial, failing which the interim bail would stand cancelled. Rajpal Yadav complied with the court’s order within the stipulated time, thereby securing his release.
The case pertains to alleged financial disputes involving dishonoured cheques, which had earlier led to legal action against the actor. While granting interim relief, the court made it clear that the bail does not absolve him of the charges and that the legal proceedings will continue.
The High Court has scheduled the next hearing for March 18, 2026, when further arguments and developments in the case will be examined.
Rajpal Yadav, known for his extensive work in Hindi cinema, has not yet issued a public statement regarding the court’s decision.
