Daughter of Radaur, Khushi Jhamb Becomes First Woman Pilot of the Region After Training in the USA

Radaur, January 24:
Khushi Jhamb, a young woman from the small town of Radaur in Haryana, has created history by becoming the first female pilot from the region after completing her aviation training in the United States. Her achievement has brought immense pride not only to her family but also to the entire Radaur area.

Khushi, daughter of Sumit Jhamb, has successfully completed one and a half years of pilot training in Florida, USA. Following her training, she has received multiple job offers from different aviation companies. Despite international opportunities, Khushi has expressed her desire to serve India first, beginning her career with domestic flights and later moving on to international operations.

Her success has filled the local community with joy and pride. Residents of Radaur are celebrating her achievement, calling it an inspiration for young girls to dream big and aim high.

In recognition of her achievement, Rotary Club, an international social service organization, will honor Khushi on January 26 with the prestigious “Meri Beti Mera Gaurav” (My Daughter, My Pride) Award. On the same occasion, her grandparents—Manohar Lal Jhamb, a retired teacher, and Purna Devi, a retired teacher—will also be honored for their contribution and support.

Khushi shared that her father, Sumit Jhamb, currently works as a Senior Manager in a private company in Gurugram, while she completed her 12th standard education from Gurugram before pursuing aviation training abroad.

Speaking about her future goals, Khushi said she dreams of flying for one of the world’s finest airlines, Emirates, someday. She believes that no goal is impossible if one has determination and dedication.

“Girls are no less than boys in any field. With the right encouragement and support, daughters can achieve the impossible,” she said.

Apart from aviation, Khushi enjoys going to the gym, listening to music, dancing, and playing basketball and football.

Her journey stands as a powerful example for young girls across Haryana and India, proving that talent, hard work, and confidence can break every barrier.
